'Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind'

This coat is one of THE best purchases I've ever made on eBay.  It's so warm, it's unbelievable.  So blow winter wind, blow - I am well fortified!

  

Went on a little excursion to the Yves Saint Laurent store to add to my ring collection for Christmas. I couldn't decide between the square or oval arty amethyst ring so I left it up to the bf to choose. Guess I'll find out which one he chose on Christmas morning....yippeee!!

'Rich Gifts Wax Poor When Givers Prove Unkind'

Ah, Christmas is almost here!  In my tiny apartment, I forgo the tree (since my furballs will eat it) and instead, trim this gilt gold branch tree that I use to hang my jewelry for the remainder of the year.  This year, I just strung some tinsel on it and called it a day.  I do love Christmas time though.  The rich smells of baked goods and scented candles, the warmth of a cozy space and hanging out with the bf on the couch sipping hot chocolate with huge marshmallows.

'Oh Happy Dagger'

I bought this skirt over 10 years ago (actually loved it so much, I bought it in a lilac color as well). They were each mid-calf and just didn't flatter me anymore. I was about to give them away to the Salvation Army when it hit me: just have them hemmed! So, that's exactly what my seamstress did.

The lilac (to be styled at a later date) is now an-above-the-knee pencil skirt while this one hits at mid thigh. Et voila, two new skirts!

'A Lean and Hungry Look'

This is me spotting something fabulous across the street in a store window.  But I must be all frugality in the next couple of months (I want a new camera, want to save more and want to pay off some bills). So to combat my withdrawel symptoms, I've come up with a couple of ways to get my shopping fix:

Tag along with anyone who is prone to swipe a credit card.  Just the sight alone of the cashier folding the clothes, swathing it in tissue paper and placing it in the new crisp bag will/should/has to be enough,

Go thrifting more,

Utilize Forever 21 more,

Shop Etsy vintage shops, and

eBay it up!

I love this faux fur leopard print scarf!  It instantly brings interest to any outfit! Oh, and it's super warm of course!!
