Finally saw Flashdance in its entirety a few months back and fell in love with some of the scenes. Since I'll take any excuse to wear this wig, I thought I'd pay a bit of homage :)

'A Plague on [All Our] Houses'

As soon as I saw these wool slacks at JCrew in this yummy fuchsia color, I knew I had to have them! They are just so bright and fun! Perfect for Fall; perfect for grey Winter days! Dying for them in this, this and this color!

Paired them with my favorite Zara skimmers and this checked shirt that Victoria of Thrift Juice was nice enough to send me!  I met her back in the summer and on the aside mentioned how hard it was to find a black check shirt and back in Toronto a couple of weeks later, I got the tweet that she had found said shirt! Thanks for looking out, Vic!!

Um, of course now I'm seeing the damn shirt everywhere but isn't that always the case?

Couldn't end the month of October without wearing something pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Any form of cancer (which I consider our modern day plague) is absolutely devastating and I have lost a few loved ones to this horrible disease, most recently my beloved cat, Samantha, of 15 years.

Until there's a cure...

'The Brightness of Her [Jeans] Would Shame Those Stars as Daylight Doth a Lamp'

REALLY loving the bright blue jean. So when I saw these JBrand's for $178, I reluctantly forked over the bucks. Well as chance would have it, I walked into the Gap and there were the very same jeans for $70. Um, the JBrands went back.

Am so afraid to wash them though. I think I just screwed up this bright blue Asos skirt when I washed it the other day...CURSES!!!

'O, I Am Fortune's Fool'

Loving this top from H&M! It's so retro, so glam and also loving that it's reversible (I can wear the zipper part front or back)!  I'm seeing a Mad Man-esque shoot coming soon with this top, this wool pencil skirt, red red lips, pin-curled hair, pearls galore...yup! Stay tuned!

So anyway, happened to be in H&M on a lunch hour and was just browsing the racks when my eye caught this top dangling by its lonesome on a rack. Grabbed it, and thankfully it was my size because the salesgirl said it was the very last one.  A total sign to purchase it!
